  • Type of corpus that consists of the same documents in a number of languages, that is a set of original texts and their translations.

  • Observation

  • A parallel corpus can be unidirectional (i.e. containing texts translated from a language A to a language B), bidirectional (i.e. with texts translated from language A into B and texts translated from B into A) or multidirectional (i.e. containing translations of the same texts in more than one other language).
